I just recently booked a short tour with this company and it was amazing! We went to Wayand and stayed at the Jungel Resort. David was so kind and had a lot of knowledge about wayanad. It was lovely to get some historic background while driving through it. We stopped at a coffee day (coffee place) and just had […]
We want to take you on an adventure – an adventure to discover more on your holiday.
Call us crazy, but we are not fans of big tourist resorts with fancy 5 star hotels. Its not that we don’t like luxury every now and then, its just that we want you to have an authentic experience and one things for sure, you’ll never see the real Kerala if you just stay in a resort for two weeks.
Now don’t get us wrong, we still want to pamper you, you are on holiday after all!
But we just think that if you want to see what the real India has to offer, then you will need to spend time with real people, stay in real Indian homes, experience their life and share yours. We believe that the people are as important as the place. When you return home, you will be full of the stories of those you have connected with.
So we like to think that we’re a bit different from the average Indian tour provider, an alternative Kerala tours provider. This is what we’re into:
We love it when different cultures get together, its how we learn from one another. So we specialise in introducing you to the real local Kerala Indian culture. This of course means spending time with the locals. When you leave, you will not just be leaving your guides and host – but friends and teachers.
Some might call this ecotourism. Essentially we believe that tourism should not have a negative impact on the destination, instead should bring rewards both to the traveler and to the hosts, as well as the environment So we aim to ensure that we all our tours tread lightly and leave the place as we found it – if not better.
Not only do we believe in treading lightly, but we have a desire to give back financially to the communities we visit. We do this by employing locals at a decent and sustainable wage. By working with communities, by supporting community projects with our patronage and fees – if you go on a tour you will likely see some community cooperatives and projects in action.
